Developing A Safety Plan
Covid-19 Safety PlanningMaking a safety plan involves identifying the steps you can take to increase your safety and helps to prepare you and your children in advance for the possibility of further violence. You do not deserve to be abused. If you are currently in an abusive situation, are thinking about leaving, or have recently left, there are steps you can take to increase your safety.
Your safety and the safety of your child/children is the most important thing.
Safety Plan if currently living with an abusive partner
If you are self-isolating or quarantining due to COVID-19 with someone who is using violence, it’s important to think about new and different ways to stay safe. The following link will allow you to view and/or download an outline of the steps which represent the plan for increasing your safety and preparing in advance for the possibility of further violence. Although you do not have control over your partner's violence, you do have a choice about how to respond him/her and how to best get your children and yourself to safety.Click here for the Safety Plan during COVID-19 if you are thinking about leaving.
